Employee-led Strategic Planning for Regional Nonprofit

A regional non-profit bringing together multi-sector partners across three states needed an updated strategic plan to advance healthier, more equitable communities. The staff wanted a plan that was actionable, measurable, and served as a guide for their day-to-day work.  

We engaged with 50+ staff and the Board of Directors to design a comprehensive and actionable strategic plan and implementation plan. 

• Conducted an all-staff survey

• Facilitated focus groups and key informant interviews

• Facilitated strategic planning sessions  with multiple teams

• Coordinated a strategic planning committee 

• Developed an implementation plan, tools, and resources 

• Created an evaluation framework for measuring plan effectiveness

The work strengthened internal alignment, the capacity to measure progress on key goals, and created a framework for collaborative implementation of the plan.
