Telling the Story of Nationwide Grant Programs
A Rapid Analysis of 200 Health Departments' Infection Prevention and Control Efforts

Summary
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) needed to quickly synthesize and learn from six national infection prevention and control grant programs initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, we took an evaluative and journalistic approach to:
Review and analyze 138 resources, including grantee reports, case studies, training materials, evaluations, and presentations
Identify key accomplishments and lessons learned across initiatives
Create multiple products to communicate the story of this work (internal report, infographics, project brief, public blog post)
Insights into effective practices in infection prevention and control during and after the COVID-19 pandemic were used to inform NACCHO's support of health departments nationwide.
