Evaluating Technology to Increase Health Access

Wellstar Health Systems sought to develop a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation strategy to help understand the impact and sustainability of its flagship Community Transformation Program, which funds community organizations to use technology for improving access to health and social support.

We conducted an evaluation across program grantees: 

• Created a program logic model 

• Reviewed and synthesized program data 

• Facilitated key informant interviews 

• Developed methodology to calculate social return on investment

• Provided a final report of findings and recommendations and facilitated sense-making discussions with the project team

• Provided sustainability recommendations for both the health system and grantees

Evidence-based insights and a framework for measuring impact enabled Wellstar to demonstrate value. Enhanced grantee capacity for impact measurement and communication positions the program to become a nationally recognized model.
