Coalition-Building for Child & Youth Equity

WE Public Health partnered with a midwestern county-city health department to support the development of a coalition and structure for sustaining collaborative efforts to advance child and youth health equity.

Working alongside community partners, we helped build a framework for collaboration, planning, measurement, and accountability. This included:

• Creating a coalition charter

• Delivering training on equity-informed systems

• Identifying key equity indicators

• Coaching local grant recipients. 

As a result, the county now has a dedicated child and youth coalition and access to meaningful data to guide strategic investments in community health.
